Some tips for using this site.

This is a membership site.
We have set this up in order to be able to deliver a series of courses.   We are still learning how to drive the software, so constructive feedback is very much appreciated.

Only members can see the training material, therefore before you can begin you need to register.

If you complete one of the lessons and elect to come back at a later time to do the next lesson, you will need to use your username and password to log into the site in order to carry on with the lessons.  You need to log in each and every time you come back to the site.

Please comment below on how you are progressing and if you are having difficulty please comment on that as well.   Perhaps we can help.

    • Hi Steve,
I can see that you are registered, so I cannot see any reason why you are not able to access the videos. Try logging out, give it a couple of minutes and log back in. Let me know how you get on please.

  1. It keeps returning to the registration page when I try to click on any of the links labeled “wicking bed”. I will try again later. Maybe it is too busy?

    • Hi Gwen,
Try again as soon as you wish. It should be OK. I have logged in as an ordinary member and it is working for me. Also I checked your membership and all appears to be fine.
Let me know if you have any further trouble.
      Regards

    • Hi Louise,
This page http://aquaponicscourses.net.au/?page_id=68 has two options at the bottom. Regester for the Wicking Bed course or the Tech Talk videos.

The way the site is set up it allows only registration for particular items or courses, not a general registration. Both of the ones currently on offer are available from this page link.
      I hope this is helpful.

  2. Wow that was odd. I just wrote an very long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up.

Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Regardless, just wanted to
    say wonderful blog!

    • Hi Seo, Sorry that happened to you. The internet, love it and hate it all at the same time …..I am very happy you found the info helpful

  3. Hi Murray
Something about my interaction with your website (possibly my 10-year-old laptop) wont allow me to submit answers and therefore wont allow me to move through the sections of the Wicking Beds course.

    Any suggestions?
    Cheers
    Mishael

    • Hi Mishael,
It is more likely that you are using Internet Explorer as your web browser. Install Google Chrome and it will most likely go well for you.
      I hope this is helpful

      • I’m having the same problem. downloaded and installed Chrome and can’t get past questions. Won’t take an answer for question #2. Running MS 8.1

        • Sorry about that. I just cannot fix it. It is a software problem. I am in the process of setting up a different system so that we have better outcomes. It would appear that those using Windows 8 and IE are having trouble. Mac users and Windows 7 users using Chrome breeze through. I will paste a notice when I have it fixed somehow. Very sorry.

  4. Hi, I just started doing the Aquaculture courses from the uni and discovered your site when doing my assessments, I think my next course will be aquaponics, just time to finish this one first and I find you very honest in the way you explain to people their concern about the business and I like that, because it’s a very serious business.
I’m very happy to find you
    Thank’s

  5. Hello Murray,
I have been following you for the past seven years on the net and had been watching your videos I plan to get a spot in your six-week course on the 29th of October.
I understand the plans for the Indy 23 will be included in the course? Will that include the greenhouse plan and materials too? What kind and thickness of plastic roofing are you using?
    Thank you.

    • Hi Emilliano,
The plans of the INDY 11.5 will be included. No, there are not greenhouse plans and that is because greenhouse requirements are very different depending on which climate zone you live in.
I hope this is helpful and look forward to seeing you in the classes.
      Regards
